Meredith Oppenheim is the founder and CEO of Laureate House a senior housing company focused on the development and management of new residential models and service offerings in university markets. She has spent nearly
15 years working in the senior housing industry at the intersection of residential housing, hospitality and healthcare. After graduating from the Harvard Business School in 2001, she worked for Marriott Senior Living based out of the Bethesda, MD headquarters where she was responsible for creating programs to operationally and financially improve the performance of an over 150 community portfolio nationwide. Meredith also worked for NJ-based homebuilder K Hovnanian where she created and executed the business plan for the company to enter the service-enriched age restricted business. While at Savills, she launched and led the senior housing practice and worked with owners to sell, recapitalize and secure funding for their projects tapping into her extensive network of debt and equity relationships. Most recently at Ventas, one of the largest healthcare REITS and senior housing owners, she asset managed an over $5 billion portfolio of more than 50 senior housing projects in CT, NJ, NY and PA operated by Atria and Sunrise. Meredith served on Mayor Bloomberg’s Age-Friendly NYC Commission and the board of the charitable arm of the NYC Dpt for the Aging.
