Marianne Raimondo MS, MSW, LICSW, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor and the Director of the Health Care Administration program at Rhode Island College.  She is also the Executive Director of the Institute for Education in Healthcare at RIC.  Prior to joining the faculty at the college, she was a management consultant for healthcare organizations across the country providing consultation and education in leadership development, quality improvement and systems redesign. She holds a MS and Ph.D. in Public Health from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a Masters in Social Work from Rhode Island College, and she is also a licensed clinical social worker. Dr. Raimondo is the principal investigator on a grant from the Tuft’s Foundation that studied gaps in services for older adults living in the community .  As a result of that work, a strategic plan has been developed to build an Age Friendly Rhode Island.  She is currently  co-leading a statewide coalition to implement the strategic plan which proposes strategies and actions to address the needs of older Rhode Islanders who wish to age at home in their community.  She is also the principal investigator on a grant for the Rhode Island Collaborative to study whether the state of R.I. currently can meet the demand of older adults transitioning from nursing homes to the community.  She currently serves on the Board of Tockwotten On the Waterfront .
