Peter Asen, board member for the Partnership for Greater Providence, is Director of Partnerships and Intergovernmental Relations in the office of City of Providence Mayor Jorge O. Elorza. He has worked in Mayor Elorza's office since December of 2015, and from 2012 to 2015 served as the first Director of the City's Healthy Communities Office. Peter has also previously served as Senior Policy Advisor for the Rhode Island House of Representatives and as Executive Director of Ocean State Action. In addition to serving on the PGP board, Peter is a member of the Board of Directors for United Cerebral Palsy of Rhode Island. He is married to Dr. Martha Elena Rojas, a professor of English at the University of RI, and is a proud father of two children.
